The Zone Diet is a programme

of balancing the organism and the fast weight loss which is recommended by many users – in fact with no reservations – for its dramatic results on the fat burn and on the control of appetite levels!

According to its creator – Dr. Barry Sears, PhD, a biochemist – this diet has not been evaluated as the top diet for nothing…and this is due to the fact that it provides results a little slower (than the other exhaustive for the organism diets), but these results are PERMANENT and they do not affect the MUSCLE MASS of the person (but only the fat stored in the body)! Besides, another important point for the Zone Diet is that the kilos lost are not from fluids necessary for the organism and so the body is not dehydrated as it happens in many diets (which are very popular among the people), which however are EXTREMELY RISKY !!!

The truth is that all diets promise continuous…but most of these promises are just void statements! This is NOT TRUE with the Zone Diet! This diet is based on measurements performed in our organism on the basis of clinical tests …and not just simple assumptions and hypotheses!

The Zone Diet is not simply a “diet of low intake of carbohydrates”, or “a one food diet”, or even “a low calories diet”, or “a protein diet”….it is a balanced nutritional formula promoting the consumption:

OF PROTEIN (lean protein is preferred)
OF CARBOHYDRATES (the consumption of carbohydrates from fruits and vegetables is preferred, which have a lower glycemic index)

INSULIN: The hormone insulin when in excess, leads to fat storage in the body and creation of inflammations.

It releases the stored carbohydrates at a stable rate, so the fluctuations on the sugar levels of blood are avoided (these fluctuations lead to increased appetite levels, bulimic episodes and endless snacking).

EIKOSANOIDS: This group of hormones is that one controlling the inflammation leading to hunder status finally, while at the same time controls the levels of all harmonic systems of our body and secures their good functioning.

Some basic elements for the Zone Diet

No.1: The Zone Diet includes in its programme 5 basic meals per day (breakfast – lunch – dinner – & 2 intermediate snacks)

No.2: The Zone Diet may not bring so fast results as other nutritional programmes and diets, but ensures the health and brings about a slow, but stable and permanent loss of body fat and kilos.

No.3: During the first week the expected weight loss varies between the ½ kilo and to 1 kilo approximately.
