Ketotifen Ketasma is prescribed to help provide symptomatic relief from allergic conditions, such as allergic rhinitis, asthma, or allergic conjunctivitis. It is not effective in treating acute asthma attacks.

Ketasma Ketotifen is known as an antihistamine and mast cell stabilizers. Ketotifen works by stopping the effects of histamine and this then blocks the release of chemicals from cells involved in allergic reactions and this then causes relieve of the symptoms. Ketotifen also works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that may cause inflammation, spasm of muscles of the airways and other symptoms of asthma and allergies.
